Top picture is at a water cache, where there would have been a very long stretch without water. God bless the people that supply the water caches.
Bottom picure is obviously just before we started hiking from the border. We were much cleaner than on the top picture. It will be fun to see Joel now to see what his hair and beard are like. Keep the pictures coming!
The Pacific Crest Trail runs 2658 miles all the way from Mexico to Canada through the west coast states, and it has been a dream of mine for nearly a decade to hike this trail in its entirely. On April 19th I will arrive at the Mexican border and begin hiking north, stopping only when I reach Canada or an injury forces me off the trail. This site will be updated periodically to allow family and friends to follow my progress.
Notes of encouragements and homemade cookies can be sent to me while I'm on the trail. Please contact Amy or my parents for details.
Doggone rattlesnakes act like they own the trail!

So glad the pictures are up -- it is nice to open the blog and see you hiking. Anxious to see ones from the next section of trail.
